Sure thing, Biglug.
First grab the attached editor. There are a number of versions kicking around the site, but this seems to be the most recent, and is the one you want if you are running L11.
(NB. this one doesn't work for A07. If you need that one let me know.)
Then grab a copy of the ROM you want to go with (L11, I assume).
Follow these instructions (I believe the prog was written in a language other than English, so the button labels only display as '?????', etc):

It appears that if you do a full backup of you current system, and use the same ROM version, then flashing and restoring should be a fairly quick and painless experience.
I expect my Ax to return home from its holiday voyage in the next day or so, so you can probably beat me to the PP flash if you get right on it.
