Rom Release! Dell Axim X51v WM6.5.5 L16 Beta ROM

Any work still going on. Have'nt seen any new activity for awhile. Tried the L16, and the only problem I had was wireless connection was unstable using WPA-TSK encryption. Office apps work just fine as well as all other apps. Just the wireless issue. Great work Lenny........Tried the L12 x50v on an x50v but wireless with WPA-TSK never would connect, even after trying all the patches and such........go figure.....Would love to put WM6.5 L16 by Lenny in my signature if I had one that had stable WiFi for WPA-TSK.....Ghost....

ok i updated my axim with your Rom and i couldnt connect to the market or the internet. to fix the internet i downloaded opera moble and i could go online.then i still had problems with the market.This is the weird thing i finally got it to connect to my pc and then i synced it. i restarted and then i connected to wifi then the market.all a sodden i could connect so all i did was sync my axim and now i can use the market. weird huh? i thought it was, so it was weird.

I uploaded this ROM into my Axim X51v, it worked right off the bat. The only CON is: is a little laggy but the "Compact Flash reader works!

The ROM is Stacked! Mobile Office 2010 and all. Just make sure that you copy and paste ALL FILES. even the "5COB" files which holds all the goodies. Mobile office 2010 ETC...

I still have the market place and it works fine...I dont no why its working and i already no about the update thing but i can still download apps and everything.its really weird and i really like the rom lenny

I have a Axim x50v and just downloaded the WM6.5.5 above and ran the install all seemed to go well. Got the message asking to perform a hard reset, but as soon as I attempt this, the screen goes black and nothing else happens, after leaving a short while i powered up but i get a white screen amd nothing else. Can anyone offer some advice in laymans terms?

if rom was for axim x51v - it only works on a x51v. You can try a rom for your machine but it has to be correct one. nothing else will work. if you put wrong rom on- maybe-just maybe you can load a proper one on and it might work.

I've been using makuu's version for a year with only 64 meg ram. works fine for me. could be a bit more stable-but it works.

When performing the reset I get the following screen stating

SD Image Update A02

It does not ever list the ROM files on the SD card. so there is nothing to select. any help on this??

The L16 Build 23559 file is broken, fails crc check when extracting if d/l completes at all. can someone post a new link pls.

I flashed my x51v with the 6.5.5 ROM and was impressed with the interface but found the PDA is now too slow to be useful. Reflashed with the WM 6.1 ROM with better speed and usability but without the fancy interface. Guess sometimes you can't have it all.

Problem with loading axim 51v upgrade wm6.5 L16EN beta 2. placed on SD held power+wifi+reset. released reset got message SD Image Uupdate A10_G4. pressed power 2x. --> whte screen with black highlighted 'Diad_K_Axim51v_WM655_L16EN.nb0.

My mistake? tried 5 times. Can always reset to original WM 5.
HELP!
