Talking Dell Axim X51 WM6 L03 17741 - Alpha1

I used the WM6 source that I used to make the X50 WM6 ROM to build/make this X51 WM6 ROM. It is a stock ROM using Dell's A12 ROM as its base. So make sure you are at least running WM5 A12 before flashing this ROM.
Enjoy ! (I Hope!)

Hmmm... 2 downloads as of this post, and no response yet as to whether or not it works. Guess I'll keep waiting.

Sorry for the delay, I'm having a nightmare with my X51v.

So HELLS YES! Thank you SO much for an updated X51 ROM. I've got it and will have to put it through it's paces later today!

Have you flashed it yet or no? I'm real curious whether it works or not.

I was late to work today, so I forgot to grab the X30 and the X51. I'll pick it up on my lunch and flash it in about 2 hours.

I'm JLW from the Aximsite forums.

The ROM seems to work with most things, but I can't get it to pick up the Wi-Fi signal for more than a split second

Nice, so the ROM boots tho? Sounds to me like you're running it.

Thanks Lenny! My brother is on vacation & he has the device. As soon as he gets back next Wednesday I will flash. If it boots up like the guy said, wireless drivers for WM5 should work fine. I can't wait to try this out.

I actually got wifi to work, but I had to completely open up my network. It wouldn't work with any kind of protection.

Default Thanks for the ROM

It loaded straight from the SD Card, once I had formatted as FAT32...

It seems quicker than the WM5 A12. I can not get SDHC to be recognised, I used the SDHC_Drivers_for_C550_and_N560by_GreateVK_and_Free PK with WM5. It also won't recognise the CF card. I will continue the testing.

Great Job, Keep up the good work.

I'm posting it for the brave soul's that would like to test it for me. Once you flash this ROM, I need in depth details on whether it works or not. Error msg's etc... So please post as soon as you have started the flashing process so that others may wait to see what the result is of your flash. And keep this thread updated as it boots or not. I'll probably pull the download down if it does not boot.

Enjoy ! (I Hope!)

Could someone please upload this to rapidshare or megaupload, for some reason it keeps disconecting me from the upload, I really would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Talking WM6.1 for X51

WM6.1 has been released here. Completely untested by me as I have no device yet. So as soon as I get one, I'll be able to help troubleshoot these before release from then on.

Unhappy L03 issues

Hi there, I can ActiveSync via the USB cradle but it doesn't want to work via bluetooth, Comes up with Error 608 (Remote Networking Error). Can't seem to solve this, tried a soft reset .

All the best
